A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge

I don't know whether it's just me or if its blogger playing up - I just can't seem to upload my next picture! :( Everything is going wrong and I'm getting another cold - only two weeks since my last one! so much for the extra vitamins I'm taking.

Anyway when it does get uploaded, it will fit the challenge for A Spoonful of Sugar - Lots of Layering. I have had a good old rumage in my drawers and came across this stamp - unfortunately I don't know who made it but it just sums up my day! I coloured it with some more copics I bought (am I being converted?) The bowl is covered in Anitas diamond glaze to give a glass look.

At last, here they are:-.

and a close up of the broken fish bowl!!!!The poor old goldfish!

Items used:

Copics, Diamond Glaze, Mirror board, Papermill card, buttons from stash

Three Clovers Thursday Challenge

I think I'm just plain daft. My local craft shop now sells copic ciao, so to start with I go and get a few greys to start with!!!! Now not the best of colours to start trying to play with! Anyway I gave it a go on Tildas hair and boots - now don't look too hard (he he). The rest of the card was coloured with Promarkers - I'm having a big dilemma of which ones to collect as they both seem to have pros and cons (so confused now).

Anyway onto my card made for the Three Clovers Thursday Challenge - Winter Theme. The bp are Papermania and stash from the Papermill, the flowers were a freebie from a mag a while ago and the brad was part of a Christmas present. Oh a stickles for the glistening rain.

Hope you are all enjoying your weekend.

A new Baby

Hello there hope you are all enjoying your weekend.
I'm still in the dilemma of which colouring medium to use. There are so many gorgeous cards done by you all with copics and distressing ins. I've even been looking on You Tube and seen so many different variations and preferences (isn't You Tube fab you click on one thing and then you can get sidelined by viewing so many other things so a few hours later your still surfing around!!!)
Anyway for my card I used promarkers. I only have a few, but have a few so to get the shading right is quite difficult, although it is coming along a little - practice makes perfect!

This card fits two challenges Cute Card Thursday to use the colour combo pink and grey and Friday Sketchers to use the fab sketch.

Items used:-
Papermill pearlised card
Penny Black Stamp
Nellie multi square frame
boarder punch (unknown)
ribbon stash
backing paper is a vellum from a friend.
Enjoy the rest of your day,
Hugs Sarah x

Penny Black Saturday Challenge.

Another one - whooooo hoooo, two cards in one day! The challenge for this is a colour combo of Blue cream and gold. All details and fab DT cards are here.I've gone quite clean lines and simple on this one - no fuss - mmmm - I quite like it for a change.
The card is cream, the backing paper is gold which has been embossed with script embossing folder. The images have then been layered onto a deep blue ribbed paper - just a very hint of colour peeking through.

Items used:-
Papermill pearlised card and paper
Penny Black Stamp
Joanna Sheen sentiment
Promarkers
Thanks for taking a peek Sarah x

The Sugar Bowl Challenge.

What a day - I sat down to start crafting, got all my bits out, turned around and half of it was missing. My daughter Emma had decided that she wanted to craft, so all my bits had been cut in half! aaarrrgggg! - It must have taken my at least 3 hours to make this card!

Besides the caffufful of the above the Sugar Bowl Challenge had me in a bit of a flap - I've not been a particular fan of distressing papers, so thought I'd give a plain bit of paper a go - (it looks like wood chip to me now lol!)I've used one of my favourite Sugar Nellie stamps - I've been trying all sorts of different colour mediums to try and get a little more shading in my images - since Father Christmas missed me off his list for that, i'm gonna have to go in search of some !!!

Items used
Papermill pearlised cardstock
Papermania backing papers
Sugar Nellie Stamp
Sizzlits flourish
Flowers - stash
Hope the weather has improved for you all and that you are able to get out and about.
Hugs, Sarah x

Colour Create Challenge.

I've been chasing my tail this week and taking three steps forward and four back! - As I am a little behind I thought I'd still show this card, I based it on last week's Friday Sketchers - sketch and Just Magnolia - Paper pleating. I can however enter it in for the Colour Create Challenge - Use colours Kraft, Blue and White (optional extra of texture) - (phew!)

It seems I can only get to craft on a Friday and Saturday for a limited time - so I have to make the most of it!

A Cute Thankyou.

Another quicky - I made a big blip by accidentally making the card left handed (duh!) - but was able to turn it into an easel card- you wouldn't know I made the mistake would you. I've used some new backing papers I got for Christmas.

This card is being entered into:-

Lili of the Valley - A thank you card.

Cute Card Thursday - A card featuring something new.

Thanks for looking - Hugs Sarah x

Simon Says Stamp Challenge.

I tried to venture out today - even as an abled bodied person it was so difficult, slipping and sliding everywhere! - so I resigned myself to stay indoors and make this card. I haven't got any stamps to join in with the Hot Chocolate theme so went with the chocolate, cream and pink marshmallow colours instead - hope this is ok.Apart from my usual items I used a cuttlebug embossing boarder for the little circles boarder.

Hope you like.

Hugs Sarah.

Hearts and Love.

Wooowwhhh my fingers were so cold today that I thought I wouldn't be able to finish this card. I've had to transfer my crafting spot from the conservatory which was like the inside of my fridge, to the warmth of my dining room - ahhh much better (apart from having to go back in for things I've forgotton!)
I'm entering this card for two challenges;-

A spoonful of sugar - which is to see hearts on your card and
A Passion for Promarkers - to follow the sketch and incorporate the theme of LOVE.

Click on each link to be taken to each blog to see all the fab DT cards and details.

The deep red backing paper has been cosmic shimmered in Lava red and then crumpled for a crushed velvet effect, the bp are DCWV and Tilda has been coloured in promarkers and her accessories have been stickled in red.
I've even tried a new style of photoing - hope you like.

Whiff of Joy challenge.

A colour combo of Aqua and Red - I think this year I'm gonna to have to be a little more adventurous! - Please go over the the Whiff of Joy Blog to get all the details and have a look at the fab DT cards - just click here.

The backing papers haven't shown up as aqua blue as they are IRL! but the general idea is there. I've overlapped the doily punch just to show a hint of the aqua backing paper. The Roses have been stickled and I found a aqua feather which finished off my card.

Voila - hope you like Sarah x

Sugar Bowl Challenge

Oooohhh, I left my camera in the conservatory and it froze!!! :( I know it was a daft thing to do but I was multi tasking as normal and got way laid! So for this I had to use my phone camera which hasn't done that bad.

The Challenge is to use the following sketch and is open until Wednesday 13th January (UK). If you click here you will find details of the DT's designs and all details.
Something new was the theme - I used some new papers from Dovecraft - they were a gift from my sister in law (thanks hun). I've left this image quite clean and simple. A new year with new friends was my inspiration. Hope you like it. Hugs Sarah x

Well if your anything like me I think I'm past it ..... I mean the snow and ice - I've had enough, all plans are going down the loo! and it's really affecting the elderly not just ourselves. I've done shopping for one old lady that was just about to venture out on her own! and another has had to be taken into hospital due to the cold - yes the fun has gone out of it now. Roll on Summer. So keep warm, safe and snug and let the world pass you by - Sx

Colour Create Challenge.

Zingy or what, Lemon and Lime - what a fantastic zingy way to get the New Year started. All details for the challenge is here. I made this card for this challenge and it was promptly taken by my daughter for her birthday (she was 3 on the 2nd January). She's really into fairies and princesses!

These colours make me want to have a spring clean so I've taken my Christmas tree down, and decluttered the house from all the present boxes which have all mounted up to fill up one recycling box already - how many of your have still got your tree up?...

Items used:

Apart from my usual - cuttlebug hearts folder, Lili of the Valley Stamp.

Thanks for taking a peek,

Just Magnolia Challenge.

My first challenge of 2010 - I have had quite a break from crafting, I think most people have as December seems to be cut short by making Christmas cards and all the preparation. I really admire all the DT members who have managed to keep up with their commitments and the run up to Christmas.
The Magnolia Challenge is to follow the sketch - this runs until the 7th January so that still may be chance to squeeze this one in if you want to. Click here for the link and DT designs.

Items used:-

Card - Papermill / Backing paper - Laura Ashley / large oval scalloped nestie / punches - Martha Stewart doily punch and a rose leaf punch / sizzlits flourish / mulburry flowers - stash / stickles / Promarkers and chalks.

Hope you all got what you wished for from Santa. I got some crafting goodies but there are still loads on my wishlist!

Hugs Sarah x
