Whiff of Joy.

Hi again,
I've haven't entered the Whiff of Joy challenge - (sketch by Bev) for a while - and I was just pootling around with a stamp that fitted the bill, so may as well enter it.

I've cut off the "flicks" on labels 4 to create the same image as the base card - looks like a whole different nestie doesn't it? I would love to know how some people can create a card with a stamped image that is poking out of the nestie edge - they don't look like they've been cut out and stuck on the nestie afterwards! Could anyone help me with this?

The image was coloured in with Promarkers and distressing inks to create the shaddowing. Flowers are from my stash (yes I know they're looking a little limp) gotta use up all my older ones before I can buy more!

Thanks for taking time to take a peek.

Anything goes

Good afternoon -

yey I'm on the computer in the afternoon ..... hope you have all been enjoying a relaxing day (maybe a little time to craft too?) Today I've just been a couch potatoe catching up on all the things we've recorded by sky+ - doesn't it just get away with you. Anyway after two Harry Potter films and a few other programmes, I've only got 30% more to watch!

I thought I'd post my card made for Just Magnolia - anything goes using the Friday Sketchers sketch.

I absolutely love making cards, but sometimes get carried away with having to make cards for each of the challenges rather than making the cards for pure enjoyment. There are so many challenges out there - goodness knows where some bloggers get the time to do it everyday and comment aswell (although it is really nice to get comments)

Enough waffling - hope to see you soon.

Sundays with Crissy.

Good evening again,

I just wish I could manage to get on the computer before 10.30pm, but my life at the moment prevents this! :(
Anyway this is a short a sweet post.
I was playing with a digi image I received and thought I'd put it into Crissy's challenge to use a digi image from Whimsey or Squigglefly in a combo- details here.
The background was watercoloured, the images coloured with Promarkers (as I've only got 9 copics and not in the relevant colours) the Tigers, Tippy and Tike are from Squigglefly, the background images are Magnolia. I've tried to add more dimention by cutting out the leaves and grass and 3d'd Tippy & Tike.
Unfortunately with creating this "scene" I didn't leave much space for the extras so had to put the greeting as a swing tag.
I just love this image. Well that's it for now.

A Garden delight.

Good evening,
Yep its nearly 10.30pm and I get a little time to go on the 'puter - where did the day go?
Anyway, I've managed to get a few challenges in on this card. It's not my "normal" sized card of 6x6 but an A5 - I think it worked out quite well.
I created a little garden scene -using all Magnolia images apart from one little piece of grass! Tilda and the large butterfly have been 3d'd to try and give a little bit more depth. As usual coloured using my Promarkers. I've also used some flowersoft (a old pot brought back from the darkest part of my drawer - no I just forgot I had it!)

Challenges:-
One Stop Craft Challenge - Things with wings
Stamping with fun - Animals (hope the butterfly counts)~
A Spoonful of Sugar - Happy Birthday.
Passion for Promarkers - In the garden.

Thank you for looking.

Digi boy

Good afternoon/evening peeps,

Well another start of the week over with, do you all get like that "oh it's Monday"? Work just seems to be getting in my way of crafting lol - I think if I could I spend like there is no tomorrow on crafting stuff i'd be in there crafting in my own little world ........ just think ... even if I won the Lotto i'd still be crafting.
Anyway onto my card for today, I did this at the weekend but forgot to post it. It is for Mo's digital Pencil challenge - a sketch created by Peggy.

I have used this image so many times for boys birthday cards, it has well been worth the purchase.

Thanks so much for popping by and for taking the time to comment.

Just Magnolia

Hope you're all having a relaxing weekend - just doing what you want to do.
Yep, I'm all uptodate with the washing etc so got a little time to play!.....

I've made this card for the Just Magnolia challenge which was a sketch created by Mina. I must admit I've slightly tweaked it by making it into a easel card - hope this is still ok. My usual camera decided to crash on me so had to go back to an oldie - hopefully you can still see it ok!
This also fits the Magnolia Downunder challenge - masking

I'm always getting stuck as to what embellies to put on the card for a mans card - I tried some grunge boards - nah, then some flowers - nah, so plumped for buttons.
What is your favourite embellie for a mans/boys card?
Thanks for taking to time to look.

Backgrounds

Good morning,

Just a quicky - a card made for Passion for Promarkers taking on the LOTV sketch. (typical, my daughter wanted to help when I did the background so it's not as perfect as I would like :(

Obviously the background was created using all my blue Promarkers - the image is from Lili of the Valley coloured in the blues so is monochromatic without it meaning to be!

Hope you like.

Lilac tones.

What a beautiful day it's been - had a week off and had to go back today :( and on such a lovely day. Hope you have all had a wonderful day and enjoyed the weather (aren't we very British talking about the weather all the time!)
My card is for the Colour Create Challenge - using lilac grey and white (opt. gingham) I'm trying to use up some old items that have been lying around for a while - this time I have used letter domes which have made up the sentiment and the papers from my scrap pile.

Anyway thanks for taking the time to pop by - it is always appreciated.

Sugary Sweet

Helloooooo,

I managed some more crafting time today, despite going to nursery with my daughter and shopping, time just seemed to stand still for a while........ it is usually the other way around that there is never enough time in the day!

My card is for The Sugar Bowl Challenge - a Sketch and include something floral on your design.

My floral bits are on all three backing papers, the sentiment, and the flower - plus a spring time image - hope that covers it lol.

I really loved using this sketch - probably one I'll use again.

Going Green!

Good afternoon peeps,

Have you been enjoying the sun - yes I can see you all smiling. My kids are off school for the Easter holidays for another week after this and they are already "bored". I took them out with me to Preston and ended up buying some lego - the best ever invention - but damn expensive - we came away with one model which cost £25.00 and it was only a little one! I did however manage to pop into the Hobbycraft shop to see what they had!!.....(crafters can never be bored can they!)

Anyway as I was in a green mood yesterday and after pulling out my stash of greens and this is what I came up with.
Challenges:-
Magalicious Highlights - Sketch by Claudia Rose
OSAAT - Anything.

Items used:-

Papermania bps, Magnolia, sentiment stamped with silkies which has given a bit of a 3D effect. Papermania flowers and tabs, MS corner and boarder punch, ribbon stash.

Well enjoy the rest of your day -

Lili of the Valley - Colour blue and silver

A little bit distressing

Hi there,

Hope you are all well and enjoying the start of a long weekend (at least for some).

Isn't there so much inspiration out there. To be honest I still looking at all the blogs thinking I would love just to sit next to them and watch how they create their cards and how long it actually takes.

For my card I tried to do a little distressing which, I'm not too keen on - perhaps I'm doing it wrong as it looks so lovely on everyone elses blog :(

Challenges:-
Magnolia Downunder - Stitching real or fake.
A Spoonful of Sugar - a shaped card.
Papetake Weekly - your choice of card.
Passion for Promarkers - 2 stamped images - any colours
Simon Says Challenge - Distressing.
Anyway no doubt I pick up some more tips as I hop along.
Take Care,
Sarah x
