Ophelia

My second post today - is for Friday Sketchers , Simon Says Challenge - Friends, Crafts and Me - Birthday, Stamp with Fun - Birthday and Cute Card Thursday - Reuse, Renew, Recycle - I've used my new Ophelia stamp bought from Bunny Zoe Crafts (a Kraftin Kimmie Stamp) - wow such fast service - I like it when you order and it comes the next day. I've seen this image done so many times and loved it that I thought I would try it out myself. Again I dragged out an older crafting item, my lace. I've coloured in with my promarkers and watercoloured the background using distressed inks. I'm quite pleased with how this has turned out. Her wings have had a good layering of stickles. The sentiment even comes with the stamp. The flowers are recycled from an old card I received.

Thanks for taking a peek.

Truly Scrumptious.

Hi there,
What a scorcher it has been today = wow, my craft room is part of my conservatory (it is only a small one) and it actually got to over 50 degree C towards the mid afternoon - I was worrying that my stamps were going to melt and my inks all dry up! :(
I managed to get a couple of cards done this morning before it got too hot (not that I'm complaining, it is so lovely to see the sun shine for a few days at a time!
I've dug out some older stamps to have a play with and made this for the Truly Scrumptions challenge of a sketch, (I didn't do the opt. extra though)
I have used my distressed inks again - still need more practice, but loving playing around.
Thank you for stopping by.

In the land of make believe.

Hello there,

What a day it's been today, numpty day as I call it, a day when people phone up and ask the most stupidest questions, or say the weirdest things or even contradict themselves in an argument! Boy did I want to jack it all in today - but after a little "me" time, came out of it unscathed until someone "stole" my cable to upload my photo so I'm going to have to do this post in two parts! I'll be glad for tomorrow!

I have combined two challenges:-
Papertake Weekly - a Sketch
Bunny Zoe's challenge - nice and girly.

I've taken my inspiration from Kim Piggot's cards, pop over to her blog for some wonderful cards. I love the stickles and distressing she uses around the edges of her cards so tried it for myself.

Thank you for stopping by.

Pink and Girly

Good evening and what a beautiful couple of days it's been - so much washing to do today = 5 lines in fact (even used my neighbour's washing line whilst she is away on holiday! good job we are good neighbours!)

As I am off work today, of course you have to have a little dabble in crafting. I made this for The Sugar Bowl Challenge -Sugar Nellie stamps of course available here and it also fits Totally Gorjuss challenge.

How many of you are like me, I sit in front of my computer for hours at a time, looking at all the fab. blogs wishing I could make cards like them and then wonder why I never have time ...... !

Thank you for stopping by my little bit of blogland.

An Old Codger

Hi again,
Have you all managed to get your Father's Day cards / Thinking of you cards made? I was really chuckling to myself making this one. My hubby is an avid biker - has been since he turned 17 (many moons ago) and has been building a couple of bikes up from bits. This image just reminds me that when he eventually gets them finished - he'll probably look like this! (it was made for my children to give their dad). The image is Karens Doodles. I've used crystal lacquer on the wheel arches and tank, clear and silver glitter gel pen on the chrome work and a mixture of Promarkers and copics on the tyres and clothing.
I'm still chuckling now and hubby is dashing me a funny look! Better post it quick before he takes a peek!

Challenges:-
Totally Gorjuss - Card for a male.
Papertake weekly - ice cream flavours (mine is coffee mocha)
Creative Inspirations - One for the Boys.

Thanks for stopping by - your always welcome to visit.

Believe.

Hello there ladies,
Hope you have managed to enjoy a bit of the sunshine today - it's been gorgeous here in the NW. I've had my head in the clouds again today - I must be in storyland ! For my card I wanted to make a mirror reflection a bit like Cinders looking in the mirror and seeing herself as a princess. Try as I may I just couldn't get my head around how to do it.

After a while I plumped for this layout - still not happy with - it seems to be missing something (yeh besides the talent lol).
I think it fits the following challenges:-
Magnolia Downunder - Swirly.
Magnolia Birthday Bash - Bling it up.
Stamp with fun - Fairy Tale / Myst

Thanks for bearing with me!!

Just Magnolia.

Just time to squeeze another one in tonight for Just Magnolia Challenge - sketch my Mina.

When I was making this card, I had an idea in my head of Tilda Pirate sitting on the deck of her ship in the dead of night with the moon and stars shining thinking of her loved one back home - this is what happened.....

I tried colouring with my distressed inks - mmmmmm I quite like it. That's it for tonight.

Sweet dreams - Sarah

I love my Promarkers

Good evening ladies,
I've had a real lazy day today - not, after pegging out washing, bring it in, ironing, more washing (It feels like i'm taking in washing for the whole street), cutting the lawn, weeding the garden, trimming the edges, sweeping the paths - when is a woman's work done?
Enough of my whinging - the rest of the day was spent with my family which balanced it out!.

I followed the sketch for I love Promarkers. I haven't made a get well soon card for a while, it is always good to have one or two cards to hand!
The image is from Karens Doodles coloured of course with Promarkers - everything else from my stash. I've kept the image quite simple.

Hope you have a great evening - thanks for stopping by.

Magnolia challenge galore.

Good evening,
Wow what a Magnolia fix I got from doing this card. I am quite chuffed with how it turned out. The lace pleating was a new trial for me and I really like it.

Just Magnolia - pleated lace
Magnolia Downunder - polka dots
Magnolia Birthday Bash - make an easel card with an old stamp
A Spoonful of Sugar - Floral delights
Crafts and Me - Something for a family member / special person
Simon Says Challenge - 1 image, 2 papers, 3 embellies.
Well that's a record for me!
Thank you for taking time to have a peek and your comments.

Sweet Rock n Roll

Hi there,

Whoo I've managed to get on the computer before 10.30pm! I am typing this post whilst taking it in turns on the wii - boy am I unfit! still my wii age is 2 years under my own. So a bit of multi tasking is sure to burn a calorie or two! lol
Anyway my card for today is another one which has taken a day or two to do - (yes multi tasking has come into it again, a bit of cleaning, a bit of sticking, a bit of ironing, a bit of colouring - of course we all do it don't we?)

Challenges:-

Simon Says Challenge - Male card

The Sugarbowl challenge - sketch.

The sentiments were inked onto shrink plastic - I do like this technique. Image coloured with my promarkers and image of course a Sugar Nellie stamp.

Many thanks for looking.

Make a Wish

Good Evening again ladies,
(should I include gentlemen?) sorry it's another late posting again!
With it being the school holidays i've been trying to keep 3 kids occupied, juggling each ones wishes / interests - shopping isn't fun for the boys, but my daughter loves it, football is fun for one son but not the other, experiments in science in the kitchen is great for the other son!
We've booked to go to the circus tomorrow which everyone is looking forward to. I've excelled myself in layering in this card - only done 8 (but it does still stand up lol!) unfortunately the picture was taken late so it's a little dull.
I finally received my long searched for punch - the MS branch punch - whooo
only taken the best part of 3 months.
Challenges:-
I love Promarkers - 2 papers, 3 buttons. 1 ribbon.
Sir Stampalot - punches
Colour Create = baby pink and pastel blue, opt. extra something soft.
Items used:-
Papermania bp, ms branch and boarder punches, ribbon threaded punch,
pearlised paper (which the boarder punch has been used on)
xcut flower punch which have had flocking added to them,
stickles, ribbon from stash, distressed ink.
Thank you for taking time to visit,
Hugs Sarah.

Pirates delight

Good evening peeps,
What another beautiful day we have had here in the UK - I spent the day with my kids and two nephews playing footie on the beach - a really fantastic day - kids are all pooped now and tucked up in bed.

Here is a card i've been working on for a day or two =
Challenges:-
Magnolia Birthday Bash - sketch.
Passion for Promarkers - books (the papers used behind the image)These images were another of my birthday gifts - I've coloured in with my promarkers and colour tinted with my distressed inks. (just to let you know Oystercrafts are still selling them for £3.00 each with free p&p)

I've used raffia instead of ribbon as I thought it gave a little more rustic appeal.

Thanks for taking a peek.
Hugs Sarah.
