Pretty in Pink

Good morning peeps,
What a really cold and chilly morning it is here in the NW, although the sky is clear ..... where is the warmer weather? I've realised that I need to move my craft room - It is presently in the conservatory which is FREEZING at the moment hence the lack of cards!

Anyway the first card I have made this week is for the Sugar Bowl Challenge a sketch by Marie Therese. Now looking at the DT's cards, I wondered what I could do with the "wings" - so this is my interpretation of it:-
It took me ages to do all the layering etc. I got so engrossed in making it that I forgot to pick my daughter up from nursery (bad mommy), luckily I was only 5 minutes late and my daughter didn't mind but boy do I feel awful about it! Talk about legging it - I have never run as fast in my life (and what a state I probably looked running down the street lol).

A little stamping and colouring in the afternoon helping me to finish this card, I think she has forgiven me (she also loves crafting luckily), the only thing is that the sentiment was stuck down in the wrong place and to move it would ruin the papers, but as "M" wanted it there, who was I to argue with, especially today - hopefully it will still count.

Anyway that is it for now, got to go to Manchester to my nephew's 21st birthday bash.
Hope to see you soon,
Hugs.

Just sitting here thinking of you - New

Hi again,
Just managed to sneak another card in today.
This is one of my all time favourite stamps from Sugar Nellie - I just love how she is sitting pondering life - oh to be that young and care free again ... I can dream can't I....lol

Anyway I have used some new papers which are from Nitwits - in the meadow. I have also used my new Creative Expression folder - (I nearly broke my cuttlebug using it as I had a brain freeze and put the wrong plates together - yes two big cracks in my cuttlebug but it is holding together for now :0( Flowers are a mix from Wild Orchid and stash.
Challenges:=

Thanks for visiting and hope to see you again soon.
Hugs

A present for you

Where did this week go to?
Is it that i'm getting older and time is just flying by? - no sooner as I have finished work and done all the necessities at home, dealt with the kids then it is time to start all over again. Would someone invent the pause button please....

For this card I have climbed out of my comfort zone and used greens. Although I don't dislike the colour, I find it quite hard to match up on cards. Anyway this is what I came up with - yes another boys card. Still not happy with my shading of the hair, my clothes shading is getting a little better, but hair I really do struggle on - oh well will keep on practicing.

The punch I used on this was the very first one I bought cough cough so many years ago, and the buttons were in a sale from Hobbycraft. Paper is Memory Box frond sent from the lovely Elaine and LOTV stamp and sentiment.

Challenges:-

Thanks for landing on my blog and taking time to read it - if you want to leave a comment or any helpful tips, please feel free.

Cutie Tilda

Wow, I'm like a bus (no commenting on the size please lol), I mean, none for ages and then two come at once ..... like my cards ...

I saw these gorgeous papers on someone elses cards and just had to take a peek. I was a bit dubious about downloading them as my internet connection has been playing up..... Anyway after downloading them, I was amazed. I heard myself saying "oooh I like that one, oooh that was lovely too, and I like that one..." they are Nitwits crabable papers - so here is my little play with them (may have to buy more ....)
I've gone quite monotonal - IRL the colours are a lot more lush and vibrant - again I photo'd this in really poor light.

Challenges:-
Passion for Promarkers - Anything goes.
Sundays with Crissy - Ribbons.
Just Magnolia - Anything goes.

Thanks for stopping by and any comments you may leave,

Lili of the Valley Sketch

Whoooooo I'm back,
Hope you have all had a really good break and enjoyed all the festivities. Besides Christmas and New Year, we had my eldest son's 14th birthday on the 30th December and my daughters 4th birthday on the 2nd January, so for us it was quite a busy week! (so many cakes!!)

It has only been today I've have been able to play as everyone settles back into their routines.
Unfortunately by the time I had made it, the light had gone :( to enable a decent photo.

My resolution is to try and make more boys /mens cards. So to start the New Year off, here is my first one. I have used LOTV stamp, made my own buttons using an old xcut die cut, coloured using Promarkers.

Challenges:-
Lili of the Valley - Sketch
Papertake Weekly - Anything goes
Cute Card Thursday - Out with the old (used old die cut and sentiment stamp)
One Stop Craft Challenge - a card for a child.

Thanks for stopping by,
Hugs and best wishes
